Amana ADB1000AWW Dishwasher

I have had this dishwasher for six months now and I have not had too many problems with it. I like how it always manages to get my dishes very clean even when it is on the normal setting. I do not have to rinse them before I wash them and I never have to use the extra clean setting.

My dishwasher is very quiet and when it is on all I can hear is a low humming which is a great bonus when comparing to other dishwashers I have had and seen.

I have had a few problems with the dishwashing detergent building up in the compartment where it is supposed to be inserted which is really annoying because then I have to clean it out, insert my detergent and re-wash the dishes again which is a waste of water, heat and money.

I am also very annoyed by the swinging door. The door is on a slight angle and when I want to close it I have to push it in and the left which is very unsafe because if it is not done properly then the door could come crashing down at anytime.

Overall I do like my dishwasher. The detergent doesn’t clump up very often, maybe once every ten loads, and I am very pleased with the way my dishes come out. I have never had to re-wash something that was bigger then a spoon yet. If the door wasn't such a safety hazard I would rate this dishwasher 5 star.
