Amana ADB1500AWW 24" Built-In Tall Tub Dishwasher
Our old dishwasher was acting up, not cleaning the dishes, and especially was not drying at all. We decided it was about time to start looking for a replacement appliance. We shopped around at many different stores before finding the Amana ADB1500AWW at a Big Box Hardware Store.
We have been running the new unit for about a year now and have had no issues whatsoever. Over our old unit, it is a great improvement. Our old unit did not even have a delayed start, which is a great feature the Amana ADB1500AWW does have.
Now we can set it to start either while we are at work, or while we are sleeping. Great feature! The unit is nothing fancy, and it doesn’t have all the greatest features, but it does get the job done. The Amana ADB1500AWW is a basic unit, but that was exactly what we were looking for.
It does have some features, Hi-Temp Wash Cycle, different cycles (quick, heavy duty, etc), delayed start; but nothing like a Sterilization cycle or anything. My wife and I were not interested in something with a lot of features that we would not use, so this unit completely met our needs The trays inside the unit are arranged quite nicely.
It seems to a fit a great deal of both dishes and pots in there, and everything comes out spotless. Price was the best part of this unit. It was extremely reasonable, plus we saved even more through a sale at the Big Box Hardware Store they were having.
That was the biggest selling point for us. We could have paid more for a Maytag brand dishwasher, but through my investigations, Maytag makes Amana, so they were basically the same unit, same features, for much less. Overall, my wife and I are very happy with the Amana ADB1500AWW. It has been a great unit so far and we look forward to many years (hopefully) of continued success with the unit!Pros
