Bosch, SH series

We purchased our Bosch SH series dishwasher in October of 2005 from Grand Appliance in Brookfield WI for around $900. Although I hesitated at the price, we had heard Bosch had a reputation for making a great machine and we have not been disappointed.
The best part about our Bosch dishwasher is that it is nearly silent. I usually forget that it is even on until I hear the water gurgling going down the drain.
I love all the different settings. My favorite feature is the “top rack only” wash, so when my kids have gone through 20 sippy cups in a day but I have yet to dirty many other dishes I can conserve energy and water by using that setting and washing only the items in the top rack.
You also can set the Bosch to “OptiMiser” to conserve energy and water on any of the other 6 normal wash setting that vary from Quick Wash to Power Scrub Wash.
The only drawback to this dishwasher is that I have to clean out the trap/filter in the bottom from time to time and that is a disgusting job. However, if I did a better job of rinsing and clearing my dishes before putting them in that probably would not be as big of a deal.
Its easy to get lazy and throw the dishes in filthy though, because I have yet to see this machine meet a baked-on-casserole that it couldn’t clean off!
With its stainless steel interior the dishes aren’t only sanitized but come out dry within minutes of the end of the cycle as well.
Overall I would highly recommend a Bosch dishwasher to any of my friends and family that want a high performing, easy to use, reliable dishwasher.
