Bosch SHE33MO(2)UC

After years of using my Sears employee discount to purchase Kenmore related products ,I decided to splurge and go with a Bosch dishwasher.

I purchased my new Bosch SHE33MO(2)UC from Bob Miller appliances in the South Bend IN area.
The cost as expected was high and the additional add on for the stainless steel even made it more expensive.

However the performance of the Bosch dishwasher was exceptional in most areas. Their was no question that it was quiet compared to my 6 year old Kenmore. My family and I could easily watch television or listen to music with the dishwasher running its cycles.

It has been extremely reliable and problem free except for the drying area.
Its kind of amazing to me for all of the money that I spent on this dishwasher that their really isn't any drying cycle.

The only way to really dry the dishes etc is to leave the dishwasher door open a few inches for air to circulate.

I usually take a spoon and wedge it between the door and the frame of the dishwasher.
Except for this oddity of drying I like the Bosch dishwasher very much.

Agreed, Bosch is a bad dishwasher NEW
by: Anonymous

I have a Bosch SHE45M and I too have the odor when I open the door to this machine. I have only had this unit for 6 weeks and I am sending it back to Lowes. It just doesn't clean well either. This is a $700.00 dishwasher too.

NOT HAPPY NEW
by: Anonymous

It doesn't dry... I can live with that, however I cannot live with the smell. From day one, it stunk. Doesn't clean well. Leaves a film. It is awkward to get dishes in and doesn't fit very many dishes. Called Bosch about the smell and they said that you have to run the dishwasher everyday and leave the door open. Highly unhappy

Drying plastic ware. NEW
by: Anonymous

I have had my Bosch for a few years now and I love it. However, to everyone who declares read your owner's manual in regards to drying I must disagree. No matter if you use a rinse agent or not, the Bosch will NOT dry your plastic items. That's the only disadvantage of this dishwasher.

Very Disappointing Machine NEW
by: Anonymous

Bought the dishwasher 4 days ago. When it runs, the plastic panel around the controls heats up and releases a really foul smell, which burns my throat. Also, the lower rack keeps coming out of the machine, which is a big problem if it is loaded with plates. I would definitely not recommend to anyone. Customer service told me to call a technician. Huh! It's brand new.
