Bosch SHE43F12UC 24 inch Energy Star Built-In Dishwasher - White

The SHE43F12UC 24" Evolution 300 Series Dishwasher is a stainless steel talltub dishwasher that offers four wash cycles and two options. Manufactured by Bosch, this appliance is designed to be of good quality. It boasts features essential for dishwashing, such as a solid base with a leak protection system, a 14 place setting capacity, and a flow through water heater, among others.

Key features

- At 50 dBA, this dishwasher is among the quietest in the United States. You won't be bothered by its sound while it's cleaning the dishes.
- Using up only 259 kwh/yr, the SHE43F12UC is energy efficient, and is certified by Energy Star. Not only will you get to help the environment, but you'll also get to save money in the process. It also has EcoSense, which decreases the usage of energy by up to 20%.
- Its triple filtration system makes sure that your dishes are as clean as they can be.
- With a solid base and a leak protection system, you won't have to worry about water leaking from your dishwasher onto your kitchen floor.
- The upper rack also features manual height adjustment, so you can fit oversized platter and tall items into the dishwasher.
- There's also a delay timer, so you can load your dishes in and set the timer at a later time if you don't want it to do your dishes just yet.
- Unlike other conventional dishwashers, the SHE43F12UC has a concealed heating element, which means that plastic items won't melt in it.

- It also has a multi-function LED display that shows you the remaining time it takes for your dishes to be fully cleaned.

Advantages

With its ChildLock system, you can be sure that the settings won't be accidentally changed by your kids. This dishwasher is also certified by the NSF, since it eliminates up to 99.99% of bacteria. This way, you can be sure that your plates are clean and germ free. There's also the eco wash and top rack only option, so you can wash smaller loads and save up on water and energy.

Its quietness is also a great feature, since you won't be bothered when you're doing other things while the dishwasher is running. You can also adjust the height of each rack so that you can fit large plates in.

Disadvantages

Since this dishwasher doesn't have a heating element in the tub itself, users have complained that dishes sometimes don't dry well, particularly those made of plastic. There are also some users who think that this dishwasher is just very basic, and that plates still need to be rinsed before being put in the dishwasher.

Pros

- Features adjustable racks
- It's quieter than most dishwashers out in the market
- Easy to install
- Easy to load
- Aesthetically appealing
- Saves on energy
- Cleans well
- Cleans dishes quickly
- Includes a childLock system

Cons

- No heating element in the tub itself
- Dishes sometimes don't dry thoroughly

Bad Design! NEW
by: Anonymous

The silverware basket is located in the rear right corner of the machine. This means in order to put just one utensil in the dishwasher, the door has to be completely open, and the bottom dishrack has to be pulled almost all the way out in order to reach the back of the rack where the basket is located. Now I know why it was on sale. If you have a bad back, don't buy this one. If you don't want to get a bad back, don't buy this one. I'm trying to find a replacement basket from another model with the utensil basket up front that would fit inside of this model. Unfortunately the design does not allow the dishrack to be turned around, or the silverware basket to fit anywhere else. On a positive note, it is very quiet, but not worth the trouble each time you want to just throw in a teaspoon, and have to reach to the back. My guess is that the designer for this model never loaded a dishwasher in their entire life.
