Bosch SMS5092EU/14

Coming from the German brand Bosch, this model of dishwasher is a compact and useful addition to the kitchen. Ours was purchased roughly 2 years ago from the local appliance and hardware store. It's a fairly small dishwasher compared to others from the same brand however it has proven that size really doesn't matter.

Some of the strengths include functionality; there are many different features and settings that are built to cater for many needs. It's size is another feature on it's side measuring in at approximately 1 metre high and 80 cm wide because it means that it can be placed virtually anywhere in the kitchen and is easily accessible (ours fits neatly under and to the side of the sink). Regardless of the fact that there are many features available, it is also surprisingly easy to use even for someone who is perhaps not that adept with technology. Reliability and durability are another two strengths associated with the washer as we have had the washer for over two years now and have never encountered a problem or even a minor hiccup that needed to be dealt with.

Functioning as any normal dishwasher would, one of the major drawbacks associated with this model is the fact that it takes a significant amount of time to complete a load of dishes; approximately 1:30 to 2 hours depending on the setting. This can be quite a hassle if dishes are needed quickly and the added effect of such a long time period is the fact that a large amount of water is used in the process and when considering the environmental problems that exist nowadays, this becomes a significant problem. This dishwasher does not have a great power to size ratio and this might deter environmentally-conscious people from purchasing this product. Due to it's compact size it simply cannot wash larger pots and pans for example which means that only plates, bowls, cups and of course cutlery fit into the washer and this becomes tedious and annoying due to the fact that the bigger pots need to be washed by hand.

Overall, however, it is a great washer that combines compactness with affordability.
