Customer Opinions – Advantages and Disadvantages:

This 6-place-setting table top dishwasher receives great reviews overall.

Consumers like the fact that the clean design and white color fits in well with most kitchen designs. Also, the compact size (L: 21.50" x W: 20.00" x H: 17.25") slides right in on most countertops and under most cabinetry. Many reviews proclaimed that this model managed to clean better thank full-sized kitchen models, and ran very quietly.

While installation of portable dishwashers can sometimes be tricky, the installation of the NewAir ADW2600W is relatively problem free.

It comes with a “quick connect” assembly, but a threaded adapter is sometimes needed to connect to the faucet (if your faucet is not already threaded). The water inlet is a standard size, so if you wanted to install it on a laundry room counter, you can get almost any hose from the hardware store to work.

Very few negatives could be found with the NewAir ADW2600W. If anything, consumers mentioned that a digital display would be nice…but the current push-button settings worked fine, all the same. It was also mentioned that there was no standard “dry” cycle…but most people found that the high-heat water temp was enough to evaporate most of the water left on the dishes.

One other concern was that a larger size dinner plate could not fit as shown in the diagram for loading your machine. If rearranging is possible, the larger size plates will fit at an angle. So, if you tend to eat on very large plates, you might need to run the machine twice in order to wash all your dishes (due to angled loading).

Features as Promoted by New Air:

  • No permanent installation required
  • Stainless steel interior
  • 5 different wash cycles
  • powerful wash system
  • Cutlery Basket
  • Water temp 149F
  • Water pressure 145 PSI

Consumer Snapshot:

  • Energy Star rated
  • Faucet mount/Does not require permanent installation
  • Easy installation and use
  • 5 different wash cycles: Heavy, Normal, Light, plus two specialty cycles: (1)  Speed Wash – great for a fast wash when dishes aren’t too dirty and (2) Soak – this is like a pre-wash cycle if you just want to rinse dishes and save the full wash for when you have a full load or its more convenient
  • Precision water jets and hot water temperatures to power through tough food stains
  • High temp wash and high pressure water

  • No digital display (just pictures)
  • No standard dry cycle (most portable dishwashers do not have a standard dry cycle)
  • No timer/countdown feature (to see where it is in the wash cycle)
  • Overly large plates require angled loading (different as shown in the diagram)

What does this mean for you?

You won’t have to fuss or fumble with installation of this little gem. It has the same portability as other comparable countertop dishwashers, with a seemingly higher performance rating (as far as the consumers are saying). It’s energy efficient to boot, so it won’t cost an arm and a leg.

Quiet running, lots of wash cycles to choose from, high quality, dependable performance…as long as you don’t eat on giant serving platters, and if you can find a site that offers free delivery, this could be an all-around winner!
