Great performance, shoddy reliability. While Asko dealer provided parts at no cost to replace motor/pump after 4 years, the electronics have now failed due to a "known" weakness in design at 7.5 years.

This is that the exhaust fan shorts, fries the mainboard and then melts the detergent dispenser wax motor: Estimated cost of repairs - $800. I can replace with an entry level Miele G 1023 for $1,399. Other faults on Miele (domestic use, family of 4) have included rack bearings disintegrating and previous replacement of detergent dispenser.

Any "environmental advantages" with this machine have been more than offset with a short service life.
