Bosch

This is a top rated European brand that is known to produce the quietest, most energy efficient models that include some incredible features to leave dishes sparkling clean.

Frigidaire

This brand is found most often in independent appliance stores, big-box stores and national retailers. The cost of these dishwashers usually range from $300 to $800 and is known for the production of some of the most affordable models. Frigidaire Professional and Frigidaire Gallery lines are also produced by this company. GE

This company is known for flaunting their features and innovation. With four lines, including GE, Café, Profile and Monogram, they are the second largest dishwasher brand. Prices range from around $250 for basic models and all the way up to $1,400 for the high-end models like the Monogram line.

GE (General Electric) introduced the Smart Dispense feature in 2006. This feature dispenses the proper amount of detergent for each load automatically. The Smart Dispense feature is included on the high-end varieties of the Café, Monogram and Profile lines. Professional-style models of the Café line are available at a lower cost that the Monogram line.



Kenmore

The largest dishwasher brand in the country is Kenmore, who is known for their dependability and reliability. Kenmore has three different lines, including Kenmore, Kenmore Pro and Kenmore Elite. The cost of these dishwashers range from as low as $250 for the basic models and up to $1,600 for the stainless steel double-drawer model.

The most prominent features on these dishwashers, such as the TurboZone power scrubbing mode, are generally included on all of the high-end models priced $650 and up, as well as on the Kenmore Elite models. Recently, the company introduced top-rack-only, hidden controls and steam cleaning features on some of their Elite models.

KitchenAid

This high-end brand is known for producing dishwashers with lots of enhanced features that are geared toward enthusiasts of the kitchen. KitchenAid dishwashers are sold primarily through independent dealers.

This manufacturer offers a model with a steam cleaning option. This line also includes fully integrated displays and a function indicator on the front of the machine. This brand is popular for their high cleaning performance and quiet operation.

Maytag

Maytag, which is owned by Whirlpool, introduced a steam dishwasher model in 2008 and has plans to release a drawer dishwasher. Although the company advertises their products as durable, quite a few online consumer reviews report that they are prone to needing repair. Miele is a German engineered brand that claims their products are built to last for a minimum of twenty years. Although recognised among dishwasher manufacturers for excellence in energy efficiency, Miele dishwashers come with a hefty price tag.

Whirlpool

The third largest of the dishwasher manufacturers in the United States is Whirlpool. They are known for reasonable costs and reliability. This manufacturer produces two lines, which are Whirlpool and Whirlpool Gold. Overall, this company is popular for offering affordable models, which range in price from as low as $250 to $850. For models with the PowerScour zone feature, you can expect to pay around $550 and up.
