Double Drawer KUDD03DTSS

I bought this dishwasher two years ago and was initially very pleased. Unfortunately, within months, it became clear that operating both drawers simultaneously resulted in dirty dishwater draining from one drawer into the other.

Ultimately, over a period of just over two years, I have had no less than ten service calls for this model because of faulty drainage. The units will back up from time to time and there is nothing I can do to drain them. I have followed the manufacturer's directions on adding rinse-aids and only using half the amount of liquid dishwasher soap I used to use, but it does not make a difference.

Yesterday, both drawers spontaneously turned on, the motors began running, and the alarms began beeping.

After several minutes, neither of them had run through a wash, drain, or rinse cycle, but the motor was still running and beeping. I tripped the breakers to no avail and have since had to unplug the unit.

When I power it back up, the dishwashers both turn on again and begin beeping. I am thoroughly frustrated with this model and hope to replace it soon.

Horrible dishwasher

For such an expensive dishwasher it is horrible. It does not clean well. You need to basically wash the dishes before putting them in the washer. The drawer tracks have a piece that breaks very easily and costs about $75 to replace each time.

I thought the brand Kitchenaid would be of higher quality and at the very least clean the dishes. The 10 year old dishwasher I had before this one worked better. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Terrible Dishwasher
by: Anonymous

I just wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing this dishwasher. There is nothing good I can say about this product. Kitchen Aid is JUNK! Please....don't waste your hard earned money on any Kitchen Aid product. I had my #1,200 microwave for only a year when the motor went out. They did replace it but only after many hours on the phone!

Double Drawer
by: Anonymous

I had a F&P double drawer DW and had many problems. These came about because you can't treat these DWs as you would a normal DW. First, there is a lid that comes down over the drawer when you turn it on. You can't put any dishes or utensils in that protrude past the drawer line. If you do, the lid won't close, the unit has a problem and the flood protection kicks in. Second, you are instructed to only use powdered detergent. You can't use gel, liquids, packets, and certainly not diswashing soap.

The convenience of the two drawers is over ridden by the problems of special treatment and operation.
