Electrolux EWDW6505GB0

This is the quietest dishwasher I have ever owned. It does a great job cleaning the dishes. However, after owning it only three years the pump is starting to go and it has developed a leak under the tub. I was told by the repairman that Electrolux is aware of this leaking problem and now sells complete kits to fix it.

I would have expected to get more than three trouble-free years out of a $1,000+ dishwasher. He recommends that I buy a Whirlpool next.

Dishes not coming clean
by: Anonymous

Electrolux has issued a service bulletin - number DW1101 and an upgrade kit - part number 154838201 to address this problem. Turns out that the hoses leading from the dishwasher reservoir to the pump constrict when the pump is running thereby reducing water flow. Electrolux also claims the "heater" drops (because of the original poor quality hoses) causing further problems and the kit also contain a heater support addition. It seems that the original hoses deteriorate with age and become soft and pliable. After trying all the obvious remedies, I found the service bulletin on the internet, After installing the kit, the dishwasher cleans dishes just as well if not better than when it was brand new.
