Estate (by Whirlpool) Dishwasher, Model # TUD6710SQ

by Lulu
(Oregon, USA)

Simply put, this is the worst dishwasher I have ever owned. We bought this as a replacement for our previous dishwasher and it has been nothing but trouble. First off, it looks like a normal sized dishwasher, but the internal dimensions are quite small - it can be very difficult to get dishes in there, i.e. large pots and reusable water bottles.

Another bad thing is that if you don't get the cycle selector dial turned just perfectly right, it won't work. It also has issues with pumping water - we had it professionally installed and they still maintain it's hooked up correctly, which makes me think it is the dishwasher itself. The dish drying cycle doesn't dry all the water on the dishes.

The very worst thing about this dishwasher is that it is extremely noisy. It is so noisy that you can't run it while you're sleeping or doing anything that requires silence. Now, it does have some good points. It looks very nice. The controls are very intuitive, but as mentioned above, can be a bit cranky. It does a good job washing dishes, provided you pre-wash them before loading the machine. If you don't do this, the food will be stuck to your dishes and you will have a hard time getting them off.

It does have quite a few cycle options, making it easy to choose the right cycle for your needs. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this dishwasher to anyone, unless they run one load a week and they don't mind noisy dishwashers. We are currently looking to replace this dishwasher.
