I have had a FP dishdrawer for 6 yrs. recently it began doing a very poor job of cleaning the dishes to the point of having to redo many things by hand. I had an expensive service call only to learn that everything checked out and seemed to be working according to spec. In light of that i am now having to shop for a new dishwasher. $1300. is a lot of money to spend for only 6 yrs of service.
I have a 4 yr old double draw dishwasher, and purchased a 5yr warrantee.Recently it broke down, (again), and we are told that it is not covered, it will cost $900. odd dollars to fix. Apparently it had (foreign)matter in the workings, glass or something. Funny that foreign matter is the things that actually go in the dishwasher. If the workings were made properly, and of quality materials they would be able to cope with the odd piece of broken stuff that happens to end up in them. We paid for the extended warrantee and the whole thing make me sick to the stomach. No more F&P for me.
Basically the dishwasher insides seem to be made of cheap and nasty materials, that are unable to go the distance.

Mine is only 2 years old and complete garbage. I need to handwash several dishes after they've been washed by the F&P dishwasher.
