Frigidaire 200 Series Dishwasher

by Melanie
(South Bend, IN)

My dishwasher is a basic Frigidaire model. I bought it in 2003 when we remodeled the kitchen. The primary reason that I selected it was the price; at the time I didn’t have a lot of money to spend.

I bought it from Lowe’s with several other kitchen appliances under their purchase $300 or more in appliances and pay no interest for 12 months. It is not one of the Energy Star models, but it does meet the state of California requirements for water usage.

I sue it frequently, sometimes daily depending on the number of dishes I have for that day. There is room for me to wash large post and pans, lots of silverware, glasses and dishes.

The interior holds all but my two largest baking trays. The manufacturer says that the washer will remove stuck on food, but I still rinse everything before placing it inside.

The washer comes with the options of having the washer heat up the water to a higher temperature than the water heater, and having heat during the drying cycle.

I like the fact I can turn these options off and on when I wish. Dishes come out clean when I use the washer. There is not food residue left on them after the cycle.

The washer has a built in disposal that grinds up any large food particles that are left over after the washing cycle. It is a good washer for the price that I paid.

While I would have preferred an energy star model, this one works will.

I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good dishwasher and has a tight budget to purchase one with.
