Detailed Frigidaire Dishwasher Review - FBD2400KS

This detailed Frigidaire dishwasher review of model FBD2400KS makes your work easier as we've done all the legwork and research.

We've searched the web, and summarized both the key features and customer feedback for this appliance.

Customer Opinions - Advantages and Disadvantages

This Frigidaire dishwasher, FBD2400KS, is a large capacity built-in model, which can accommodate up to 12 place settings in a tall-tub. With 2 cycles, a stainless-steel finish, and billed as having “UltraQuiet technology,” this model has many features a savvy consumer would want.

However, unfortunately, savvy customers could not seem to find such features, as promised, in this dishwasher model. In point of fact, this model has since been discontinued by Frigidaire, so is not available or out of stock on many sites.

Most complaints seemed to focus on the overall lack of quality with this product. Consumers commented that it appeared to be “very cheaply made” and they usually needed to do a thorough pre-wash (so you might as well hand-wash everything and save money by not buying this washer) or run a second wash cycle (again, what’s the point?) in order to get all the food and residue off plates.

Despite being labeled as having “UltraQuiet” technology, the sound level was borderline obnoxious, rated at a decibel level of almost 70. To give you a frame of reference, a rating of 50 is equivalent to a “normal conversation.”  So, a rating of 70 would basically qualify as a “shouting match.”

A few odd complaints also involved the product not looking the same way when it arrived as it did in the pictures online (this happened from purchasing on several sites, so it did not seem to be an issue with just one site falsely advertising the dishwasher).

For the few consumers that did like this model and did not report any problems, their main source of validation seemed to come from the fact that the dishwasher was not overly expensive, even though it looked to be so.

What does this mean for you?

In theory, this dishwasher looks good, and has the prestige of the Frigidaire name. And that’s about where it ends. The moral of the story with the Frigidaire FBD2400KS? Unfortunately, you get what you pay for.
