The PDWF880RSS is another model in the Profile line of dishwashers manufactured by GE. The features and mechanisms included in the dishwasher do make it worth every penny of what some users may consider to be quite a steep price. The good thing about this model is that even the small details and features make a lot of difference. For example, the audible end-of-cycle signal keeps the user informed of what’s going on in the machine. The Piranha hard food disposer makes sure that any item that is removed from the dining or kitchen ware is prevented from clogging the machine’s pipes. All these and more efficient features are found in the PDWF880RSS.
Interior Features The dishwasher model includes SmartDispense technology where a container is inside the machine, holding up to 47 oz of detergent. No need for the user to be hassled with measurement and having to deal with messy detergent. The mechanism dispenses the right amount of detergent at just the right time.
The upper and lower racks are made of eclipse black nylon, a material that is very durable and rust-proof at the same time. The deep-tiered rack assures you that even huge and awkwardly-shaped items can be accommodated.
Both the tub and door liner are made stainless steel material. With the durability of this material, you can be rest assured that items don’t get rust, and the washer will last long because there’s not much wear and tear damage to the interior.
The electronic controls are located at the top portion of the washer. Equipped with 12 touch pads, you can be rest assured that operating the washer is as easy as a push of a button. Also in the control panel are a 3-digit countdown display, a 6-cycle progress indicator and status lights. There are also controls for start/reset, last cycle memory and a control lock, spelling utmost convenience to the user.
The stainless steel appearance gives the washer
a mechanical yet sleek look. The stainless steel one-piece contour long door is as elegant as it is functional. Installation is ready for hard countertops and the control panel’s is matched with the rest of the unit for stylish uniformity. Aside from the stainless steel finish, the dishwasher is also available in black and white.

This model has three color choices (stainless steel, black and white) for the user to choose from, making it easier to blend the washer to the rest of the color scheme of the kitchen.
The PureClean wash system is featured in this model, with water used for cleaning dishes and other items undergoing a 5-stage filtration process. The multiple filtration levels give the user the assurance of thoroughly clean dishes.
The Energy Star rating of this model means that it has surpassed the guidelines established by the federal government in efficiency with the use of resources. The user is given great savings in energy and water, and in turn, lower utility bills!
The DeepClean cycle with Steam Prewash is included in this model, assuring the user that stubborn stains like rice, eggs and oatmeal can be removed with the use of powerful steam that’s tough on stains but gentle on the items themselves.
Users may also choose the Single Rack Wash selection if they are only going to use the washer to clean glasses or small loads. You get to be assured that the cycle is gentle enough, and you also know that less water is used, saving on resources.
Although GE appliances are already known to be a bit higher in price compared to lother manufacturers, this model is particularly expensive by at least $500.
