GE Triton

by Sheila
(Pembroke Pines, FL, USA)

I just recently purchased my family a GE Triton dishwasher for our new house, and I am so glad I made the purchase!

We found this dishwasher at Best Buy in Emeryville, CA and we were instantly interested in it. It's nice silver color and easy to operate settings made it a winner to us! We needed something of that color to match our kitchen appliances.

We do a lot of loads of dishes as we have 7 people living in our home and this cleans our dishes spotless! It has so many different settings and timers its GREAT! You can pick exactly what you need for the type of dishes you have.

I would recommend this dishwasher to anyone!! I have nothing but good things to say about it. I absolutely LOVE IT!

The slight noise it does make, is a good thing.

Pros
- The look of it, with the black front
- Ease of filling with dishes

Cons
- Every once in awhile, the wheel from the bottom rack comes off
- Needs larger silverware basket

I really pretty much do like my dishwasher. One thing I have noticed, going to other homes with dishwashers, is how quiet theirs is, compared to mine. But, I am now realizing, that the slight noise it does make, is a good thing.

You know when it is done washing dishes, so you can get them put away. I say that because, friends keep saying, they can't hear theirs, so dishes once cleaned, seem to stay in there til they need them. Quiet is great, if you are on the phone, I guess. My racks are flat. I have one friend, where hers are rather slanted inside. She admits to buying hers for the look on the outside, not paying any attention to the inside at all.

Mine has dividers that lay down flat, to accommodate larger items. Also my top rack comes out, which makes it super nice, for putting items like the 9 plastic trays from my food dehydrator into the bottom rack. They trays are too big otherwise.

I just need to hit the rinse button, and presto they are clean. I also use my dishwasher to rinse out the filter for my furnace. I just lay that on the top rack, and hit rinse.

The gentle cycle, is great for washing some rather nice knick knack items, and my collection of collectibles. Sure beats doing them all by hand 2 times a year, for spring and fall cleaning. I'm hoping it lasts many years, I've really come to like it.
