General Electric Company model GSD2100N

The dishwasher I currently have is a GE dishwasher.I use this dishwasher at least once a day if not twice. I have had this dishwasher for approximately 6 months now. I would not purchase this dishwasher again.

This dishwasher only has the washing component on the bottom of the dishwasher so every time after a wash I always have to rinse off all of the items on the top rack before I put those dishes away.

No matter what cycle I put it on and no matter how clean the dishes are BEFORE the dishwasher runs, I still end up with the same sandy results at the end of the cycle. This GE dishwasher is also very loud. Now I have lived in several places and have used many different dishwashers and I have never ever had one that ran this loud.

Every cycle on this dishwasher is extremely loud and I have to shout just so the other party can hear what I am saying.

I cannot watch TV while this dishwasher is running.I do not recommend this model at all. This particular dishwasher does not have much room on the bottom rack either.

There are several dishes that I cannot even fit down there and that had fit in previous dishwashers. This may be good for an older single person that will not be using it too often and that are hard of hearing so the noise won't bother them anyway.

The General Electric PowerScrub dishwasher is overall a decent machine. At first glance, the glossy black design is aesthetically pleasing to the eye, and fits perfectly into any modern-day kitchen. The trimless doors create a seamless built in fit, and the smooth and sleek panels add a classic touch.

The functions are simple and easy to follow, and there are several options to choose from, such as the quick hot start option. The control is a simple rotary dial, and the dishwasher undergoes five cycles. The interior boasts large racks and many slots to hold even the heaviest of dishes, pots, and pans.

There is a separate area to hold spoons, forks, knives, and other utensils, and also places to hold specific items, such as cups and mugs. The dishes inside are air dried, and there is even a food disposer to eliminate the excess food cleaned from the dishes. Another notable feature was that after turning on the dishwasher, the sounds emitted from the machine were much quieter and more soothing than any other normal dishwasher.

Thanks to its patented QuietPower motor, the sound insulation is able to keep the kitchen very calm and peaceful, a change of pace from normal jarring dishwasher sounds. The noise level is kept to a 64 DB, not to mention it's energy saving qualifications.

However, the change between cycles can be a little loud and distracting, and the area for soap was a little difficult to find- But all in all, it is a dependable product.
