I have to say, our dishwasher is a real piece of junk! In all fairness, I do not know if it was brand new when we started renting our home but it was supposed to be "new". Perhaps it was a refurbished dishwasher and that is why it does not do a very good job.

We have rented our home for three years now and from day one, the dishwasher never worked well. I have done everything recommended to try to get it to work better, like running it with nothing but a dishwasher cleanser inside, using jet dry and not overloading it but with no success.

Pretty much you have to wash the dishes before you put them in the dishwasher, otherwise you will have food particles left on all of the dishes if you don't. So, you end up washing the dishes twice which is a huge waste of time. You would be better off just hand washing the dishes just once.
I used to have a GE dishwasher that was brand new and loved it!

It worked great! The dishes were always clean and you didn't worry that you were eating off dirty dishes that harbored all kinds of germs.
