Kenmore #16109

by Jill
(Vincennes, IN, USA)

The Kenmore #16109 is a great value. At the price of under $500 for a built in dishwasher, you get many extra features. My personal favorite is the adjustable top shelf.

It has three settings so even your largest pans can fit on the bottom shelf. The top shelf even at the highest level still has plenty of room for other things. Another feature is that the dishwasher heats the water for the wash to guarantee a sterile wash.

It has a quick wash cycle that can even dry dishes in as little as 30 minutes. A full cycle runs about an hour including heated drying. The heated drying is an option. It actually has 5 wash cycles. The pot scrubber is wonderful for baked on foods. One major point that I was looking for is metal water spickets. Most dishwashers have plastic hardware inside but this is metal.

The silverware holder is can be made smaller or bigger by having removable sections that do not waste space in the dishwasher. The only time that we have problems that we have to rewash is if it is opened during the rinse cycle, you may have to run additional rinse cycle to make sure all detergent is removed. Overall, I have to say I am very pleased with this dishwasher, especially for the value.
