This machine was fine at first, but now the bottom drawer is leaking all over the place, looked and looked, the manuel is no help on trouble shooting, gues will have to give sears a call.

Bought this dishwasher over two years ago the first unit that can out would not clean the dishes and service repair man that they sent out had never seen this model before. Sears sent out a new dishwasher and now this unit is leaking everywhere. My kitchen hardwood floors are totally damaged. This dishwasher obviously has problems shame on Sears and Kenmore for not recalling this product.

We are having the same problem, they fixed it, then a week later it was leaking again, and now for the 3rd time we are calling them back. They told me they haven't had any complaints on this dishwasher. I logged a formal complaint today. I don't want it fixed again, I want a different model and I want it free and installed and the old one taken away. And we want our floor bill taken care of as well. Let us know how it worked out for you.

This dishwasher does a thorough job at washing plates and wide glasses. This dishwasher has many slots that hold different types of things that need to be washed. A major problem with this dishwasher is that it doesn't clean regular sized glasses, they always come out dirty.
Another problem with this dishwasher is that it can take 90 something minutes to wash one load. I would rate this dishwasher a 2. I must say that this Kenmore Elite if probably the first Kenmore product that I have been disappointed with.
Although this dishwasher cleans plates, silverware, wide classes, and bowls well, there are still many flaws. For one thing, this dishwasher doesn't clean regular sized glasses well at all. Most of the time when they come out of the dishwasher we put them back in again because they are not clean.
Many times we just do them by hand afterward. That is annoying. Another thing that is frustrating about this dishwasher is that the heating element may not be powerful enough. If you do not run hot water before you start the cycle, the dish-washing soap may not dissolve.
This means that you just rinsed the dishes for a while. The worst thing about this dishwasher is that it takes a long time. The fastest cycle takes at least 60 minutes. We are paying for electricity to run that, water, and time. The electricity is high because of the heating element.
A normal cycle can be about 90 minutes. I find that ridiculous. All-in-all I probably would never buy this dishwasher again. I may however buy another Kenmore though, because this is the only problem with Kenmore that we have ever had.
I would definitely rate this a 2 star. The best thing about this dishwasher though is that silverware and plates come out looking great. In addition, there are all sorts of different areas to put odd shaped cooking utensils.

My suggustion is don't buy it, we have had it for 3 years and I have had to take it apart 3 times to clean it. The problems are
1)Has a terrible screen system for waste return, you have to take the DW apart to clean it. I had an old Kenmore portable where the screen was on top.
2) The turbo zone spray is a terrible set up. It has 2 metal balls that act as check valves and if any particles get in there it does not allow enough water pressure to get to the top spray arm to rotate it.
I suppose this would be a great machine if you like to clean your dishes before you put them in the dishwasher.

My dishwasher Kenmore Elite double draw has had 2 service calls and id going for the third time in a little over a year. The same problem everytime is leaking.I have hardwoodwakeup floors in my kitchen and they are ruined.Somebody please give me some advice..
