The control panel is on the top of the dishwasher door, and features enough options for you to customize every aspect of the washing cycles. Such options include; which spray jets you would like to use, would you like to steam sanitize the dishes, what level of heat would like to use both to wash and to dry the dishes, and there is a wide range of wash cycles from which to chose.
All in all, the Sears, Kenmore Elite dishwasher is the best dishwasher I've ever owned, and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
