Kenmore Ultra-Wash Dishwasher
I have a Kenmore Ultra-Wash dishwasher. This has a glossy black modern looking front, with a digital front control panel that I find very convenient to use as opposed to the old timer control knob. I find it reasonably quiet and very good at washing just about anything that I put in there without having to pre-rinse the dishes.
I bought this dishwasher from Sears 10 years ago with a number of other appliances, while I was updating my kitchen area. The longevity that this appliances showed me over the years, makes me feel very good about the quality of the Kenmore brand. I don't buy everything that Sears sells, but I am very pleased with this Kenmore dishwasher.
It seems to efficiently wash the dishes with minimal noise, as a lot of times I'll turn it on at night when I go to sleep and the normal 90 minute washing cycle has never bothered me. I find it very easy to load the dishwasher as it seems to offer very flexible and adjustable placement in the top and the bottom shelves of just about anything I want to clean.
I've never had any broken dishes, and it's fairly easy to see if the double control arms will hit against the dishes when you load the top and bottom racks.
It not only sprays from the bottom in the traditional way of a dishwasher, but also has a top sprayer and in the middle, another rotating water spraying arm. Everything seems to be stainless steel or durable plastic on the inside of the washing compartment, which has never shown any rust marks or other signs of deterioration.
The only minimal wear seems to be on the ends of the racks where the dishes sit and rock back and forth during the cleaning cycles. I've had a number of Kenmore dishwashers in different houses, and this one goes right along with the other ones as far as being a very good deal.
While I have no need at the moment, I know from past experiences that replacement parts are readily available from the intricate motor parts below the main dish washer assembly to just a simple piece of its' shelving units.
