We live in a rental house in an area with water with a HIGH mineral content. The owner replaced the dishwasher in March with this Kenmore model dishwasher. It cleans glass items beautifully, but stainless steel or plastic dishes, serving pieces, and flatware come out with a coating of white, powdery substance. This is WORSE when we use the recommended additive to prevent streaking. Dishes in the rear of the rack and the rear of the flatware basket are appreciably more coated than those closest to the door.
