Respectfully, my parents have had this dishwasher for about 10 years, it has a stainless steel liner, two racks, 3 water turnstiles and other than being louder than a plastic unit it has served them well. Both of my parents are in their 70's in the Washington, DC area. Other than the bottom rack having rusted in several spots
after the unit had attained 8 years of service there has been no problems with the unit.
This is their 3rd Kitchenaid dishwasher. THey had one

when I lived there some 30 years ago I think that one last 20 years and the next one would have lasted more than 10 years but they changed the color of the Kitchen and therefore replaced the last Kitchenaid with this one (which is a Bisque color) just for uniformity in their kitchen.
They live in an area with relatively soft water and I was genuinely surprised that the lower rack rusted out.

The previous dishwashers they had did not suffer this problem. I have read on the Internet of other people with this same model number experiencing the same problem. It must have been the supplier with whom they got that rack from.
