Kitchen Aid K-series - Tall tub

My latest dishwasher is the Kitchen Aid K-series - Tall tub. I did quite a bit of research before we decided on this dishwasher for our new home. We are building a house, and it is such a great opportunity to get everything that is good in the way of appliances... but it is a LOT of research involved to do so! I know it will be worth it in a few years when all the appliances are still running strong!

I liked the design of this dishwasher right from the start. It has a nice sleek look that will still look modern in a few years I think. I like to get things that will not look dated in a few years time, especially since I don’t want to have to replace it anytime soon. This machine does a good job on the dishes which is of course the main thing to look for.

I also needed a dishwasher with a stainless steel interior. Our hard water can really stain the plastic interior tubs and I just hate that old look, even though I know it is clean and sanitized on the inside. I also do some big pots in the dishwasher, so it is nice to have the flexibility to do some of the bigger items.

This dishwasher is very quiet in comparison to our last two! I like not being awakened at night when it comes on. We use the delayed start feature quite a bit, just to take advantage of running it at night when the water usage is lower overall.

I do not really use the sanitizing feature - I think they get pretty sanitized in the “normal” setting - I guess it would be good for people with small kids though. Over all I am very pleased with this dishwasher, it get dishes clean and does it quietly!
