Consumers looking for an affordable yet full-featured KitchenAid dishwasher will find what they need in this model. At about $499, this dishwasher can take care of your light to moderately heavy dishwashing needs.

The electronic controls facilitate ease of changing the wash settings. The user can choose from three cycles namely: high temperature wash, rinse only, and pots and pans. There are also five levels of washing, which may be changed according to the intensity of cleaning operation that is required.

Its large tub, which can accommodate up to 14 place settings, has large capacity racks that provide space for dishes of different sizes. The silverware have their own basket to free up more space on the racks.

It has an optimum wash sensor that adjusts according to the conditions of the water used for the dishwasher. More importantly, this model is Energy Star-qualified, which means that it uses less energy than non-qualified dishwashers.

install
by: Vetman

I have installed many dishwashers in my life but
this was the most difficult.
Why: I was replacing a 12yr old Kenmore and this
model had a 3/4" garden hose plastic fitting for
water inlet.Kenmore had a brass elbow fiting. Thinking it would be simple hook-up was I wrong.
Nowhere in my plumbing box did I have a garden hose to 3/8" thread fitting.Had to go to hardware
store to purchase the fitting. The plastic garden
hose fitting is EZ to crossthread. Not good engineering if you ask me. Haven't used dishwasher
as of date hope it works better than install.

Cleans well, quiet, stainless interior, looks and feels like high quality. No complaints after six months usage. Paid about $450.

WASTE OF MONEY
by: R. Brown

read reviews to get new dishwasher, this was one of the highest rated ones. I should have kept my 17 year old kenmore. This model kitchen aid is a piece of junk!!! Don't waste your money.
