Smaller in capacity but definitely packed with features, the KitchenAid KUDD03STSS Single Drawer Dishwasher is a perfect addition to any kitchen. The ProDry system adds more efficiency to this dishwasher, as it dries dishes and glassware perfectly after each washing cycle. With its Whisper Quiet Sound Insulation System, dishwashing has never been this efficient or this quiet.
Interior Features
One of the most marketable features of this single drawer dishwasher is the ProDry feature, which aids in the quick and efficient drying of dishes after each dishwashing cycle. Air circulation is optimized so that the dishes come out dry and completely clean. Along with the wash arms, the ProWash Bar aids in more enhanced cleaning so that a single dishwashing cycle may be completed within a shorter period of time.
The Hard Food Disposer makes eliminating left over food easier as it breaks big chunks into smaller particles. In order to clean each dish, glass, or utensil completely, this dishwasher has a flexible rack system that makes loading much easier. The Sure Hold mesh bag is more suitable for smaller items. The temperature and cycle is adjusted accordingly depending on the level of mess, through the Sensor Wash Option.
There are 6 different cycles and 4 cycle options, so you can choose which settings to go for depending on which items you have placed for dishwashing or how soiled the dishes, glass, pots, or pans are. Since this dishwasher is NSF-certified, you can expect that up to 99.9% of bacteria is eliminated through the Sani Rinse Option.

Disadvantages
Compared to double drawer dishwashers or those which have built in configurations, this single drawer dishwasher has a smaller capacity. Some customers have complained that this dishwasher has below average engineering. This single drawer dishwasher is not ENERGY STAR-qualified unlike other KitchenAid built-in dishwasher models. Unlike other models from Kitchen Aid, this unit does not have a stainless steel interior.

We love to entertain, so installed 2 dishwashers in our new kitchen.
I am a "pre-rinser".
The kitchenaid redeposits the tiniest bit of missed debris, and completely misses any inverted bowls, glasses or cups within 4" of the corners.
I've owned a dozen new dishwashers in various homes, but this is the 1st where I must completely wash the dishes before washing them in the dishwasher, and then spot wash after the cleaning cycle is done.
I use the "heavy duty cycle for everything...
It is new & still under warranty, but I'm getting a different brand.
This problem has occurred since day one, and the warranty repairman told me there is no fix. He said it is the ONLY dishwasher he has had to remove and replace with another brand.
