LG Intello Dishwasher LD-2050SH
First I have to say, what sold me on this dishwasher was the silent operation, called “LoDecible Quiet Operation”. In this aspect LG is true to its word; the dishwasher is really silent. I was surprised to find, however, that it takes 2 hours and 19 minutes for a wash on a “Normal” setting.
It seemed like quite long time to run an energy-efficient machine. Even though LG has fitted the upper rack with slanted tongs to supposedly get a better angle on the cleaning surface from the water to the dishes, which I think is a good idea; I find that occasionally some of the dishes on the upper rack do not get rinsed or washed completely.
However, this could be due to the way I load the dishes, because it does not happen all the time. Alternatively, I don’t think the ability to clean dishes should be directly related to how one loads the dishwasher. LG has put a lot of thought into the utensil holder.
They have provided a utensil holder that not only is movable, but also has slots that actually separate each utensil. This works perfectly, as my utensils always come out great. The only downfall is there doesn’t seem to be enough large slots available for larger-handled utensils.
One other thing I really like is the ample room provided to load large pots and pans in the bottom rack when necessary. On the whole, I like the LG dishwasher and would recommend it to others.
Pros
- Really Quiet
- Energy Efficient
Cons
- Sometime some of the dishes on the upper rack do not get rinsed or washed completely
- There doesn’t seem to be enough large slots available for larger-handled utensils.
