it's pretty but junk
by: Anonymous

purchased this dishwaser 14 mos. ago. It made awful noises and the dishes weren't getting clean. 3 visits from a LG repairman later, they finally fixed it. The dishwasher wasn't getting enough water, and it wasn't us it was the machine. That lasted a month.

Then the error codes started again. Had another LG repairman and he replaced just about everything inside and finally it worked well.

Yesterday, everything went on it. No lights no error codes, nothing. Electrician said our electric is fine, it's the machine. Don't waste your money. this dishwasher is garbage. I purchased the whole 5 piece package. Within the first year of owning all these pretty new appliances, I've had the repairman here for every one except the microwave, and I'm afraid to even say that so I don't jinx myself.

Low water/wont clean

After reading all the comments I could not say anything more. I need to replace the pump on my dish washer for 200 but I will put that money to a new dishwasher. It won't be a LG. I will do my home work next time.

this dishwasher is horrid
by: Anonymous

I hate this dishwasher ...I seriously want to rip it out and throw it through the window of the appliance store where we purchased it. The salesman raved about what a wonderful machine it was .....and sadly we fell for it without doing our homework! The dishes do not come out clean ...I have to wash my dishes before I wash my dishes.....I have even tried the power scrub cycle which by the way runs for three hours and still my dishes are not clean ! My blood boils every time I look at that damn dishwasher!!!

LG stands for lowest grade
by: Frustrated in Florida

I bought this from Best Buy a couple of years ago. It has almost destroyed our home with the MULTIPLE leaks that it has had. The leaks have been behind it and caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to the flooring and wall in our home. I have given up on it and will probably drop it off outside the Best Buy store with a sign on it warning customers about it. Seriously, if you value your home, I would not buy this. In retrospect, I would not even take it for free. I am not even going to bother calling a repairman to fix this piece of junk...ANY other brand HAS to be better then this.

Dishwasher-less
by: Anonymous

Poor interior design as far as the racks. Thought we bought the wrong ten different detergents until I read all other issues with dirty dishes. Seal on the bottom of the door is always comming out of place causing water leaks all over the kitchen floor. Internet research is the way to go today for anything you purchase.

LDS4821 Don't bother!
by: Anonymous

I had the exact same experience as the previous poster here. It doesn't clean, the cycle is 2 hours plus. I either have to wash my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, or I end up washing and drying them when I take them out. No more LG for me!

terrible dishwasher!
by: Anonymous

This is a disgusting dishwasher:
1. You have to wash the dishes before you "wash" them in the LG dishwasher. It does not have a garborator and it just spreads the food over the dishes and then bakes it on during the dry cycle. You cannot turn off the heat in the drying cycle.
2. The design of the racks is so poor that it is impossible to load the dishwasher efficiently. I think that it is designed by people who never have washed a dish in their lives.
3. It has a poor service record. The pump is apparently very small and stops often stops working within a year of use.
4. The cycle takes over 2 hours!
DO NOT EVER PURCHASE AN LG APPLIANCE!
