Maytag MBD-3

We remodeled our kitchen about 3 years ago. We replaced our wonderful non-working dishwasher at that time. One of the options I wanted to make sure the new dishwasher had was to make sure it was quiet. We had to pay a little extra to get this because we were told it has some extra insulation that makes it quiet.

Many times I talk on the phone in the kitchen and with our old dishwasher I could never talk on the phone when it was running. Secondly I could never run the dishwasher if we wanted to watch television in the family room because it was so loud it interfered with the sound on the television. That's not a problem now.

This one cleans wonderfully. I wanted to make sure it had the cleaning wand element on the top and on the bottom. My old dishwasher didn't have both and sometimes items on the top rack didn't always get clean because the items were blocked by items on the bottom rack.

The third thing I liked about this one that my old dishwasher didn't have was the drying element. Now most of the dishwashers I looked at have this feature.

It is well worth the money. I just love my dishwasher and because of the way my boys abuse the dishwasher and the heavy use it gets I will buy a Maytag the next time too.
