This Maytag dishwasher was supposed to be stainless steel, but started to rust in a very short time, less than a year. Maytag said it was because we have hard water and would not warrant it, but my refrigerator, microwave, faucet, flatware etc. have no rust.

The front of this dishwasher is not made of stainless steel. If you take a magnet with you and it sticks to the front, the steel is not stainless steel, don't buy it. And beware of what Maytag includes in its warranty.
