Just replaced our ten year old and very QUIET Bosch SHV4803UC with this new model - what a disappointment!

The silverware basket has been relocated and consumes valuable room. The old machine had incredible capacity whereas the new one is designed for people who throw a nightly dinner party for 50 people (uniform plate sizes) rather than real life dishware most people use.

Machine still cleans exceptionally well but is nowhere near as quiet as old one - we oftentimes opened the door mid-cycle on the old one, not knowing it was running! The new one can be heard in the next room.

Sadly, I believe either this machine has a problem or Bosch's quality has deteriorated.
