Whirlpool 810 energy Saver

by Cathie
(Kentucky, USA)

This dishwasher came with our home when we purchased it. It helped so much to cut back on my work in the kitchen. I didn’t have to wash or rinse the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher.

I just put them in after scraping the scraps from the dishes. It is quite loud when it is running and I would prefer a much quiet running one.

The dishwasher has the two shelves. But lately it has not been getting my dishes very clean. There is a filter of some sort in the door that keeps building up black stuff that we cannot figure out where it is coming from.

If I don’t clean that out quite often it will not clean at all. Another disadvantage of this dishwasher recently is that is will not dry my plastic bowls at all.

I have to unload the clean dishes and put the plastic bowls on the counter to dry out before putting them away.

I do love how the shelves are set up though. They provide a nice arrangement for the glasses and small containers on the top rack.

The bottom rack pulls out with a divided utensil holder in the front for convenient loading of the knives, forks, and spoons.

All in all, this dishwasher is a good appliance for a family just starting out. I think I want to upgrade to a more advanced one.
