Whirlpool- GU2275XTV

This is a very pretty dishwasher. It dries dishes very quickly, too. But I have consistently found food deposits on my dishes after cleaning and I'm not happy with it. I don't prewash, but I shouldn't have to.

I've only had this dishwasher for a little over a month, and my husband has decided to rip it out and return it. Hopefully we'll find something better. Oh, and I HATE the silverware basket in the door. It's difficult to load and unload. It can hook onto the end of the rack but it falls off all the time. And the bins are so slender my bigger utensils don't fit. The extra space in the rack is nice, but not worth the trouble.

Pros:
- stylish
- easy to operate

Cons:
- sometimes doesn't clean utensils very well
- more expensive than other products

Rating: 3 out of five stars

Nothing gold about this piece of crap...this is the 4th whirlpool I have owned....love the door baskets..so that is the reason for this purchase.

Have always been pleased until now....very poorly designed...top basket falls during night time cleaning, causing door to open..therefore stopping the cycle. I guess it really does not matter, as it gets nothing clean.

I have handwashed all glasses since the purchase of this one.....I do not fry, so there is never lots of oily stuff. All I want is sparkle when I open the door...not there....I really want a new dishwasher & it will never again be Whirlpool///this one is not a year old..husband says no......

Whirlpool...PLEASE HELP an old lady in distress!!!!

I also own gas stove, Cabrio washer & dryer(love) HELP!!!!!!

I purchased this expensive Energy Saving dishwasher just over a year ago. For the past several months I have had to take out the glasses and dishes and rewash many of them because they are coated with a film.

I had the repair man in and was told that we had hard water and the new plastics that they are using in the machines cause the lime to adhere to the plastic. This was the cause of the film coating on the dishes/glasses/silverware. My options given were to put in a costly water softener or run the diswasher with a chemical wash each month.

I have tried this dishwasher magic and have had no success on getting the dishes clean. The previous dishwasher that was ten years old did not have this problem. I am sorry I purchased this new one.

Horrible - three service calls in the 1st year

Would never buy a Whirlpool dishwasher again. It needed three service calls in the first year, requiring replacement of the whole control system, and it still doesn't work.

Whirlpool promised to have a tech here today to fix it under warranty, but their local contractor says they faxed a service request but -- contrary to what the rep told me on the phone -- did not actually not make an appointment.

So now somebody will come next week, if I stay home another half-day. I'll never buy another Whirlpool product after this experience.
