I live in a condo community that was built about 12 years ago, and this is the original dishwasher. I believe it doesn't have a catchy model name is because it is a low end model designed specifically for condos and small apartments, and mass sold to the general contractors.
What I like best about my dishwasher is that it works without fail. I don't have to prewash or presoak dishes, my washer gets all the food off the first time and leaves nothing behind. My mother has a Kenmore dishwasher of about the same age that she pretty much uses only as a dish sanitizer. If she leaves any food particles on the dishes at all it gets baked onto them in the washer, instead of washed away as they should.
This dishwasher also saves money on energy by having an "air dry" setting. I don't believe there are too many dishwashers that offer this particular feature, although it makes a lot of sense. Why waste a bunch of energy drying dishes that can easily drip dry in a couple of hours anyway?
The only drawback to my dishwasher is that it is small (to fit in the tiny kitchen) and that the front of it, which is a solid, thin sheet of plastic, has become warped and, thus sticks out like the dishwasher is pregnant. Now, this doesn't affect it's performance in anyway, but it does make my guests snicker a bit when they see it.
