This is a beautiful machine and costly but not the most expensive model they had. We decided to make the investment in a model that has all the capacity and power a large family needs and also is nice to look at. This dishwasher comes in a stainless steel model that is perfect for a modern kitchen.

We purchased it 3 months ago at a small appliance company in our town. Might of paid more than if we went to a big retail outlet but like to do business locally, we paid 730.00.

This machine is large and is designed so it's easy to get the dishes in and out. It's very quiet, in fact I don't even notice when it's done. It has what they call power scour which is a lot of extra jets for water that really does clean even the tough food off. I don't rinse before I was anymore, so that saves time.

It's energy star rated and we have already seen a saving on utilities. It seemed like a big investment at the time but I'm sure it will pay off and it goes with the kitchen decor so we are happy with it.

It has all the "bells and whistles" I wanted

I needed to replace a GE Profile dishwasher that was 4yrs old. We were so unhappy with that dishwasher from day one and could not wait for it to finally "break"..it never got the entire load of dishes,pots,glasses,clean, you never knew when you opened the door what was not getting cleaned this time. I never renewed the service contract.

I purchased the Whirlpool gold model GU2475XTV on April 16,2009, I love it!! it has all the "bells and whistles" I wanted ,and for the 2 weeks that I have it ( I run it at least once or twice a day)there is not a dirty glass, pot, dish, etc. it is very quiet compared to my GE..

The only thing I am not happy about is there is no time indicator to tell you how much longer a particular cycle will run but I will be able to figure that at as time goes by...all in all we are happy with our purchase.

control panel not in right position

I bought the Whirlpool GU2475XTV 2 weeks ago. It is a good diswasher. Just one thing which is very inconvenience, I found that the control panel is not in the right postion. Once I close the door, I can hardly seen the control panel. According to the manual, I should close the door first and press the buttons. Once I close the door, it is impossible for me to reach or see the control panel which is under the counter. Therefore I press all the function I need first and close the door. It's still work. But I cannot see the whole process of the washing from the control panel. I have to guess whether it is finished or not.

Good dishwasher but ..

Actually it is a good dishwasher, been using it for about a month now. The one thing that really gets me is the status indicator in the center. What were they smoking when they put that thing in? I mean come one, how hard is it to realize that if you put the status labels ABOVE the status lights they are completely covered when the thing is closed.

The status lights and labels are on the top lip where all the controls are. The lip barley sticks out under the countertop. The labels for status are placed far back under the countertop so you can sort of see the lights and see blank area where they SHOULD have put the labels. Not that big of a deal once you memorize the light positions but wow... I would put that in the same category as misspelling whirlpool on the front. But I have seen far worse.
