Whirlpool model GU1500

I bought this dishwasher new in 2002. It is six years old now. So far I haven't had any major problems with it. It washes very well. Though it is a little noisy (next time I will get the newer quiet models).
It has several cycles on it, so you can wash small loads or large loads. You also have the option of having it dry with or without hot air.
Sometimes the dishes are too hot to take out right after they are washed, so, if you want to put up the dishes right after you wash them, you may need to use the option that does not require heat.
I always use the heated option because I feel that it sterilizes the dishes more. I bought the white one that goes with the cabinets in my kitchen, however, you can choose from a variety of colors.
The only minor problems I can think of so far is that you have to remove larger bits of food that don't go down the grid in the bottom of the dishwasher so that the grid does not get clogged. Also, as with many dishwashers, there are spots on the glasses sometimes.
I am not sure if this is a problem with the dishwashing powder and not the dishwashing machine. It takes a while for the dishes to complete an entire washing cycle.
If you choose the largest cycle, like I do, it can take up to 45 minutes or longer before it is finished. Overall whirlpool appliances have been very reliable to me and I would recommend them to anyone.
