We bought this dishwasher new from a local appliance dealer, Nelson Appliances in Surfside Beach, South Carolina. It replaced an older dishwasher already installed in our condominium. I have used it almost every day for several years now and have never had any problems with the unit. It has 4 cycles and alot of options for cleaning. It also has the Energy Star rating. It always cleans the glasses spot free and the dishes shiney. It is advertised as a quiet dishwasher, but I have heard quieter ones. My dishwasher is a creme color and it is very easy to keep the exterior of this dishwasher. There are only a few crevises to hold dirt.

One of features I like on this unit is that you have the utensil tray on the door instead in the racks. That gives you more room for dirty dishes and pans. There is alot room on the top self for glasses. Pans and pans fit well, along with the plates.

I have had other dishwashers, but this one has been worry and trouble free. I would recommend this brand to my friends and I will again buy a Whirlpool when I need a new dishwasher. I have always had good luck with the Whirlpool brand.

Crappy quiet partner 1

I add my voice to this chorus. Horrible quiet partner 1. Bought it less than a year ago and it's leaking buckets of water from below the door.

Wet/Dirty Dishes

I'd almost rather just wash dishes by hand. Runs for a couple hours and dishes dont get super clean. Also the dishes are left sopping wet on any setting you choose. A waste of money.

So frustrating!

This dishwasher is installed in the new townhouse we are renting. It drives me crazy to unload dirty and wet dishes after the cycle is done!! We've tried various settings, and it could be the liquid soap, but there are always water spots with soap residue on all the glass. Get a nicer one!!

Water Remains in Bottom and no Clean light

Just bought a new house with new appliances. The Whirlpool Quiet Partner 1, does not work properly, leaves water in bottom and clean light never comes on!

Maybe I got lucky. I love this dishwasher. It is not as quiet as advertised but I love the way it cleans. It does clean better with a dry soap rather than liquid. I have not had any leaks. It is the first dishwasher I have owned that I don't have to have the dishes clean before I put them in to be cleaned. I also find when loading I don't have to make sure nothing blocks the sprayers.

Beware-Door leaks from bottom!

I purchased the first one on 29Dec10. Had it professsionally installed only to find out that it leaked from under the front door during the first wash.

I went back to Future Shop to process an exchange. When the new one arrived I had it installed only to find out that it too leaked from under the front door during the first wash! I have now upgraded to a GE and only hope that it does not leak!

The 'Quiet' partner 1 is also not very quiet!

Spend the extra money and get a product that is reliable!

Love this dishwasher

We've had ours for almost 3 years. We run it almost daily and have never had trouble. The silverware in the door is a huge bonus. Unlike some of the other commenters, our dishwasher runs quietly. I would recommend it!

Biggest pice of crap I ever bought, Have had it three years and it never cleaned well to begin with and now has gotten to the point I have to run it three times, then some have to be cleaned by hand. I dont know how it can have a energy star rating? it uses 3 times the amount of water and power to clean 1 load of dishes. In the market for a new one now and never a whirlpool again!

Had this unit for 3+ years. Will never buy another one from whirlpool again! Doesn't clean very well. Not all that quiet. Takes way too long to clean. Also, a problem that I haven't read yet is that it has had a small leak at the bottom of the door.

Does Not Clean Well

I agree. I have the EXACT same problems and my dishwasher isn't even a year old yet! Half of my silverwear has to be re-washed in the next load. Pans also usually have to be re-washed. Glasses clean ok but dry with spots.

Didn't last long

My previous dishwasher lasted 20 years. This one, only a few years. Very early on, the top rack started losing prongs due to rusting out. Now, it has stopped cleaning entirely. It wasn't expensive, but it's a hassle to have a new one installed. It should have lasted longer. I thought Whirlpool had a good reputation, but I wouldn't buy another.

Unhappy buyer

Bought this dishwasher to replace a Whirlpool that worked very well for 12 years, even with hard water in our area. The new "energy saver" model is a real dud - unless it means that it saves energy by running slowly and never getting the dishes clean OR dry! Am going back to washing my dishes by hand - have to anyway, with this new "efficient" model!!! :(

Don't waste your money!

Don't waste your money on this thing! We bought it brand new and have had it less than two years. It is already cleaning horrible and now the heater circuit has to be replaced. We haven't abused this dishwasher or even left food on the dishes, it's just a crappy dishwasher.

Not Cleaning as it did when first installed.

Very disappointed in cleaning...I purposly followed all the directions. The right amount of a good brand soap, no obstructions and the large two bowls came out as they went in only this time it was worst as the food was dried on the bowls.
Am thinking that spinning wand is not turning so no water hitting the dishes....Will cost as much to have a service call to get a new dishwasher...Hmmm...Is this the ploy??? I wonder??? Darn it...I got taken again...Two years old. Is this how long they are only suppose to last??

Disappointed customr

We purchased our Whirlpool Quiet Partner Dishwasher at Lowes near our home. We had the first one less than a week and it stopped working. Lowes asked us to bring the old one and they would give us a new one....no way. I told them they had to pick up the bad one and install a replacement.
We have had the dishwasher for 5 years and I like it the least of the 3 dish washers I have had in 36
years of marriage.
Now it has locked up and won't start and the clean button light keeps flashing. I hate to put money into it because my other ones lasted over 10 years with no problems.
What can I do.

You're not alone, annonymous. Same exact problem here. Inherited a house with it, and it's TERRIBLE at cleaning dishes. Avoid if you can.

Worst Dishwasher EVER!

I inherited this dishwasher when I bought my house. It DOES NOT clean well. It leaves food on dishes, spots on glassware. It doesn't even leave the inside of the dishwasher clean when it finishes a cycle.

I think I got a lemon!!!
