I have owned my Whirlpool Quiet Partner I dishwasher for two years. To get started, I will give a bit of background and other information on use of the dishwasher. I purchased it new and had it professionally installed.
The dishwasher is used to accommodate three people's dishwashing needs and is run almost daily. The water supply is from city sources (not hard-water or sulfinated ground water). The JetDry reservoir has only run dry a few times in the last two years, and I regularly use Cascade dishwasher cubes.
The dishwasher is an average size and for our needs it has enough room to accommodate our dish loads. The top and bottom agitators work efficiently and I have rarely had an issue with “caked-on” food. I am impressed with the effectiveness of the top sprayer since past dishwashers did not have a quality top shelf sprayer. The bottom shelf sprayer is also better than older models I have used and does not seem to have any issues.
The primary features are very convenient. The standard buttons select for pot & pans, normal wash, and a quick rinse feature that works well. I particularly like the time delay options. The washer can be set to start 2, 4, or 6 hours after the button is pushed. The feature has been a great option so the washer can be run at night when other water sources are not used.
Two things I would change about the dishwasher are the detergent flap position and the set up of the top sprayer. The detergent flap is a bit too low and some slightly larger spoons and knifes are able to trap the door shut preventing the detergent from being released. The latch on the flap could also be reworked as granulated detergents can get into the latch and prevent closing. The issue with the top sprayer is simple. Large dishes on the bottom shelf can interfere with the sprayer rotation. I believe a simple guard would prevent this issue.
