I have this dishwasher because it came with the house. It has a flashing light that indicates the dishes are clean but I can't get it to do anything else. I've tried cancelling/clearing. I've reprogramed for a new load. I've had other people try. It just sits there telling me the load is clean. It's either broken or way to complicated to use with out a manual.

Not the best dishwasher by: Anonymous
Bought this dishwasher in 2010. 1-1/2 yrs later, the dishes have a film, the glasses and silverware have a film. I have used vinegar or baking soda to run thru the cycle to see if that helped. NO. Tried various detergents. Finish was the worst, ajax not good so went back to cascade. The rinse aid gadget quit working about 3 months ago.
When I first used the dishwasher on normal cycle, I was shocked that the thing takes FOREVER to complete. Overall, I don't recommend this dishwasher.

has ruined several of my glasses and dishes by: Anonymous
i bought my house last july and and it came with this dishwasher that was brand new. it is horrible. sometimes it runs forever and i have to stop it. and now there is a gritty, white film that is on some of my glassware and other dishes that i can't scrub off (and i use the jet dry, too). i suppose i should call for service...i just didn't think that is something i needed to do for a major appliance that is less than a year old.

HATE! by: Anonymous
I too hate- HATE- this dishwasher! I bought my home last June ('10) and the dishwasher was brand new. My first washing and food particles were baked on with the heat dry cycle. By the first week, my glasses looked like I'd bought frosted ones! I thought it must be the dish washing detergent and began a quest to find the right combination. I added Borax, tried adding vinegar, and finally the overly priced Quantum powerballs. Yes, the Quantum helped tremendously get the glasses to shine once again...IF the detergent door had opened, or the detergent pack had not landed on the dish rack turning it to a gooey mush to clean up. I bought the Finish Dishwasher cleaner and dishes are still being inspected to see which must be rewashed by hand. 3 hours to run a normal cycle? Ridiculous! Do not, repeat... DO NOT buy this darn thing!

headache and heartache by: suzanna davis
Bought this brand new and it has never worked correctly - have had it serviced 3 times in 9 months and it still does not work correctly - I have to sop and cancel and drain or it will just keep running forever...this is after it did not run at all and was used as a dish rack for 3 months after the second service call did not make it run correctly. After the third service call it runs and runs and runs and runs...I am sooooooooooooooooooo sorry I bought it and still owe money on it...

Prongs Erode by: Anonymous
The prongs on this machine started to erode before the warranty was up - by the time I contacted the company the warranty had JUST expired and they offered to "sell" me replacement racks. However, the top rack did not fit and after much calling back and forth they finally told us there was NO REPLACEMENT RACK FOR THE TOP RACK, which has continued to erode and now the roller has disintegrated that rolls out the top rack. Another contact with the company and I was basically told "sorry". I will NOT be buying any more Whirlpool products as they do not hold up.

very happy by: Anonymous
Pros: -quiet
-cleans dishes well
Cons: -long cycle
-a bit rough on pots and pans
Our landlord recently purchased for our rental home a Whirlpool Quiet Partner II when our old dishwasher died. We needed something large enough for a four-person household. With all the adults in the house working, it was a bad time for our old dishwasher do quit on us.
So far, it has been a great dishwasher. We are very pleased with it. It cleans much better than our old dishwasher, and it runs very quietly. It came in black, and has several indicator lights, including the wash cycle and the rinse cycle, and it tells you when the dishes are clean.
It is spacious inside, contains a rack attached on the inside of the door for forks, spoons, and knives, cutlery, and other utensils and has a large washer blade that evenly disperses the soap and water.
We couldn't be more happy with this brand and this model of dishwasher. With everyone in the house working, there is no time for cleaning dishes by hand. Our Whirlpool leaves no residue or stains behind. Our previous dishwasher had a bad problem with that.
This one also makes the soap go a long way, even coating the dishes. It is a very good dishwasher. It does a great job.

almost perfect! by: Anonymous
Features: -4 Cycles: Pots & pans, Normal, Light, and Rinse only
-5 Options: Soak/Scour, Hi temp wash, Sani-rinse, and Heated dry
I love this dishwasher, it is really relatively quiet on the non scour cycles, and cleans really well even with the less expensive brands of dish washing soap. This dishwasher came with our new house and I have been using it for two years without a single real issue.
I am married and have five kids so we go though a lot of dishes in a week and this machine keeps up and washes one to two loads a day.
Light Cycle is fastest and is washed and dried in less than 2 hours. We use this or the regular cycle the most and they are both pretty quiet and efficient.
We rarely have any dirty dishes that need to be rewashed, after using the two easiest cycles, ie the Normal and the Light.
The soak and scour cycle takes a very long time to complete, nearly five hours so I rarely use it. This cycle is rather loud, so this part does not really live up to the name “Quiet Partner”.
Also you really have to watch if you put your silverware in the space just under the dishwashing detergent dispenser as it can leave a soap residue, possible due to being only inches above it.
I would recommend this dishwasher to a friend and it comes with a stainless steel front which makes it very attractive and modern looking.

best dishwasher i have owned by: Kelly
This is the 6th dishwasher I have owned, and is by far the best. I bought this dishwasher after purchasing a GE the previous year, and having it break down in it's second year, the replacement parts were too expensive to be worth the repair.
This Whirlpool is not an expensive dishwasher (in fact,it costs less than the GE), and yet washes dishes without having to prewash/rinse every item before loading.
I know this because of a daughter with an attitude, who decided to get even with me for making her do the dishes that night. She loaded it with the dishes that had sat for hours, scraps left on the plates, etc.
To my surprise, nearly every dish came out perfect.
I have also noticed that Ecover brand dish detergent does work better in this machine than some other brands I have tried.
