Whirlpoool DU1055XTVQ built-in Dishwasher

Whirlpool 24-inch built-in dishwasher, Energy Star, model: DU1055XTVQ It is somewhat small, and I will probably need to upgrade it soon for our growing family. Previously though, this dishwasher was a dream!

It cleaned everything, the capacity was somewhat small, but we didn't really need much more than that! At one point, though, it began leaking! I was worried! thankfully though, the warranty covered that and we were able to able to exchange it for a new one, apparently there was a "run" that had this issue but the company was very compliant and dealt with this issue very well!

The noise that this dishwasher makes is... moderate, we run it when were not at home though, so its not too bad. There is also an option to lock the buttons, we haven’t really used this, but I’m sure it will come in handy in the near future! T

he Racks are also adjustable, so that is great for when we want to wash our pots and pans! The silverware rack is also located on the door, which I find to be more convenient for me! It takes up less room, allowing us to load it up with more dishes.

Our dishes have always come out clean, this is probably aided by the spinning jets, and loads of our cascade duo dishwashing packs.

Pros
- would be the adjustable racks
- the price, it is a great value dishwasher!

Cons
- would be the size,
- the noise level
- I would give this dishwasher

low priced dishwasher NEW
by: Anonymous

Currently, I am using the Whirlpool DU1055XTVQ dishwasher and have been using it for a little over one year. Although my warranty for the dishwasher is over, it has yet to be broken even after much use and abuse. For a dishwasher with a fairly cheap price, I would have to admit that this works great.

It can be easily used for any basic dishes. The dishes are actually clean and washed after the cycle is complete. The machine also contains a large tub to fit many items to be cleaned. As for the features that it comes with, it has multi-cycles (pot&pan cycle, rinse only cycle, etc.) and functions. However, a disappointing and missing feature is the stainless steel cleaning. For me though, it isn?t much of a killer, as I barely have any stainless steel dishes.

Another con to the machine is that it can be loud compared to other models and brands. It?s fast and efficient but parts to the machine seems like they could break easily. So beware as this is one of those, ?You get what you paid for? kind-of deals. If you are looking for a long-term investment, I would suggest you either use the dishwasher in caution or invest in another one. However, this machine does get the job done and I would recommend the dishwasher to anyone seeking one for a low price.

The WORST EVER NEW
by: Mary Horvath

Absolutely the WORST appliance I have ever owned! I have owned this appliance for 11 months now and have had to have 7 warranty repairs done. Very weak drain pump, seals all leak, dishes come out dirtier than when I put them in. My last dishwasher was a Maytag and lasted 8 years, Should have bought another one instead of a whirlpool. I will NEVER purchase a Whirlpool appliance again. Had to extend the warrantee for an additional 6 months. Have absolutely no confidence in this brand anymore. If you ever consider a whirlpool appliance, please do yourself a favor and remember this. I have asked for a replacement and keep getting the run around. Save yourself a lot of frustration and go with another brand, any other brand not Whirlpool!

I hate my Whirlpool dishwasher! NEW
by: Dianne Muth

It is less than five years old, but has NEVER cleaned the dishes adequately). I fix my own mocha in the morning, and if I don't scrub the cup out residue is left in it. I use the highest settings every time. It doesn't make any difference what dishwashing soap I use. Basically, we scrub our dishes before we wash them in the dishwasher.

Very happy with this dishwasher NEW
by: Anonymous

Pros
- Enough room for dishes
- Not too much noise
- Cleans dishes very well
- Easy to operate

Cons
- dishwashing liquid is must

I just replaced this product with my old one which was very noisy and time consuming and never give good results. I am happy with the new dishwasher as it has lot of space for the dishes and it has 4 wash cycles. The dishes are shiny after every wash . I can place tall glasses also . First I tried with regular washing liquid and it was filled with foam, that was my mistake. Use dishwashing liquid only. It really worth for the money.
