This so far has been a great dishwasher. It does take a little longer than our old one but it uses about half the water. The repairman--he was only there because one of my son's toys got stuck in the motor--said it's one of the most water efficient ones on the market.
It takes longer because it recycles the water from the bottom rack to wash the top; it does them in two different cycles. Also I love the sanitize feature for the baby's bottle and accessories. Nice, affordable, and quiet.
It has heavy wash for more soiled dishes and light wash for ones that aren't as dirty. Eco Wash is great for dishes that we've already rinsed because it's really fast and saves on water and electricity. I also love the lock out feature which has been a life saver for us with an active toddler in the house.
I've taken the top rack out many times to wash taller items which is great because I can and have also sanitized some of the kids' toys in there.
The only thing I don't like is that the dishes are usually really wet when it's finished. We use a rinse aid and it still leaves them with spots from them not being dried in the dishwasher. Parents should be cautious because the vet holes on the upper left side release super hot steam on the dry and sanitize cycle and my two year old has been burnt before.
It's caught me off guard if I walk up to it and forget it's on. Also the rinse aid compartment is hard to read as to whether it's full or not. It doesn't have the dipstick to show you how much is in there and I couldn't really understand the instructions so I fill it until it is obviously full.
There are a few little quirks, the ones mentioned above, but for the price and ease of use I would definetly recommend this to someone.
